At the Shoals Club on Bald Head Island, we’re looking for a passionate and upbeat Dining Room Captain to help lead our front-of-house crew and make every meal unforgettable for our members. Think sun, surf, and service excellence—all rolled into one extraordinary role.

What You’ll Do (Besides Soak in the Views):

Be the front-of-house MVP—leading servers, bussers, and hosts through smooth, high-energy meal services.
Greet members like old friends and ensure they leave raving about their experience.
Kick off each shift with a pre-service huddle, updates on specials, and a positive vibe.
Keep the floor flowing, tables turning, and smiles coming.
Be a real-time coach—mentoring, encouraging, and training your team to be their best.
Partner with the kitchen and bar to keep food and drinks coming out hot, cold, and on time.
Ensure the dining room looks amazing from open to close.
Occasionally step in to serve or bartend when needed—we're all one team, and sometimes that means jumping behind the bar or picking up a tray!
Support awesome special events (yes, some involve tiki torches and champagne).
Live the beach life while delivering platinum-level hospitality.

You’re a Fit If You:

Have 2–3 years of hospitality or restaurant leadership experience (private club, resort, or upscale dining preferred).
Are a natural leader who thrives on teamwork, positivity, and taking care of people.
Know the ins and outs of fine dining, service etiquette, and managing the floor.
Communicate like a pro and stay calm under pressure.
Love a flexible schedule and can work evenings, weekends, and holidays with energy and grace.
Are ready to jump in wherever needed—bartending, serving, or leading the charge.

Bonus Points If You:

Know your way around Northstar POS (or similar systems).
Are TIPS or ServSafe certified.
Can talk wine and food pairings like a sommelier-in-training.
